Grant Funded Autism Art Program
Hello Fly Brave Family,
We are revamping the way we promote our events, activities, and workshops.
Key programs:
Our standing annual programs, improv/theater social group; adult group; Fly Fit - police fitness/run club and Saturday Art have been scheduled and will remain open to the public.
Events:
This year, in lieu of our typical large-scale events, we are creating a vast calendar of social get-togethers and outings (game nights, dining downtown, karaoke, bowling, skating, etc.). With so many organizations offering monthly dances for our community, we have decided to pivot from our two annual proms and create more social opportunities in smaller scale groups over the next 12 months. We hope this new offering will open up a greater social calendar of experiences for our families. We will also attend the dances hosted by our community partners in groups.
Please note our social groups are for ages 16-over.

Social events are limited to 12-15 individuals per offering; first come first serve registration.

Saturday Karaoke Socials
Fly Fit - Fitness Programs
Fly Fit with the Elk Grove Police Department
September 25th through October 30th
5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
District 56 Preserve Park - Elk Grove
We have created smaller social groups to host at our thrift store once a month. Three new programs include game night, book club, and a singles group.
To receive info on these smaller scale socials, please sign up for our mailing list in the box of info at the top of this page and you will receive emails when a new social is scheduled.
Events
We are into year 2 of the grant provided by the CA Arts Council.
We are looking for neurodiverse artists, ages 18 and over to create a pop-up gallery collection for an art show in November.

Autism Run Club (and walking group)
The fall season starts on Monday, August 26th and ends on Monday, September 30th, 2024.
We are training for two 5k races.
1. Urban Cow 5k on Oct 5th
2. Run with the Cops 5k on Sept 21st
You do not have to participate in the races to join run club. You can come out each week for socializing and fitness fun in promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Calendar of Events Update for 2024
On BRAVE Wings, We RISE
A collaboration with OnStage Theater Arts.
This is an 11 week program and begins on Tuesday, September 24th.
Actors create characters, read lines and create a play from start to finish that they perform on stage for the community.
Adult Group has been renamed to Dinner Club.

Art Socials are held at our store on Thursdays from 11 am to 12:15 pm at our store located at 5901 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95820.

The fundraiser starts on September 6th and ends on September 13th.
The Fly Brave family is kicking off the week by dining together on Friday, September 6th from 6 pm to 9 pm and all are welcome to join us.
